The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) football club is leading the French Ligue 1 with a high pass success rate, according to new research from the Bernat Football Academy.

According to the study, PSG has a success rate of over 85% when passing the ball, compared to just under 70% for their nearest rivals, Marseille. The Bernat Football Academy, which is run by former Barcelona player Xavi, analyzed data from 244 matches played by both teams during the 2020-21 season.

The study found that PSG's ability to pass the ball effectively is due in part to their possession-based style of play, as well as their tactical flexibility and quick decision-making on the pitch.

However, while PSG's success in passing may give them an edge in the competition, they must also be aware of the importance of defensive discipline and teamwork if they want to maintain their lead in the league.
