In recent years, football has become one of the most popular sports globally and has seen significant growth in terms of both attendance and popularity. However, despite this growth, there is still a high level of controversy surrounding the accuracy of shots in professional football matches.

One of the most commonly debated topics in the world of football is the accuracy of shots. In soccer, the shot accuracy rate can vary significantly depending on the player's technique, location, and position. The shot accuracy rate can be as low as 20% or even lower if the goalkeeper does not make a good save.

The study presented here aims to investigate the accuracy of shots in FC Porto's football team. This research aimed to explore the impact of various factors such as goalkeeper skill, goalkeeper positioning, and the overall performance of the team on the accuracy of shots.

To conduct the study, researchers used a dataset consisting of 148 shots made by players from FC Porto during the season 2019-2020. The dataset was divided into two parts: training data and testing data. The training data consisted of 75 shots made by players who were part of the training squad while the testing data consisted of 73 shots made by players who had not been selected for the training squad but were present at the game day.
